Microsoft Surface event: Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6 and Surface Studio 2 REVEALED

UPDATE 9: Microsoft’s Surface event has now concluded.

The American tech giant announced the Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6, Surface Studio 2 and surprised us all by debuting Surface Headphones.

Surface Laptop 2 and the Surface Pro 6 can be pre-ordered right now ahead of their respective releases on October 16.

The Surface Laptop 2 will start at $999 while the entry-level model of the Surface Pro 6 comes in at $899.

Meanwhile, the Surface Studio 2 starts at $3,499.

The base variant comes with an 8th generation Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

However the product can be maxed out for $4,799 that will tout the same processor but feature 32GB of RAM and 2TB of internal memory.

Pre-orders for the Surface Studio 2 start today in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

However Microsoft has not yet detailed when UK customers can order the product.

The Surface Headphones do not currently have a price or release date and cannot be pre-ordered on Microsoft’s website.

UPDATE 8: Surface Headphones have been announced by Microsoft at its hardware event in New York City.

The over-ear headphones are wireless and boast noise-cancelling technology.

Microsoft’s virtual assistant Cortana is also supported with the new accessory.

Inside the headphones are 40mm drivers that should deliver quality audio.

The accessory has four noise-canceling microphones that should block out background noise.

Microsoft insisted the new headphones are coming soon.

However, the company did reveal both the Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6 can be pre-ordered from today.

UPDATE 7: Microsoft has announced the Surface Studio 2.

Although the externals of the device look very similar to the previous generation model, the panel of the hardware is 38 percent brighter and offers 22 percent more contrast.

The promotional video for the new product insists it is the “fastest Surface ever”.

Surface Studio 2 will include a 2TB SSD and come with NVIDIA Pascal graphics.

Microsoft is insisting the Surface Studio 2 offers “best-in-class ink latency”, 4096 levels of pressure and tilt sensitivity.
